1. BRITANAC ANTIQUE FAIR
British Square or Britanac is a well known open farmers market located just 10 minutes by foot from the Main Square. There you can find delicious fresh fruits and vegetables! But it is the best to visit on Saturday morning when antique fair is taking its place. If you are looking for a creative and unique souvenir from Zagreb it is perfect place to look for it!
2. HRELIĆ FLEA MARKET
Hrelić is the best flea market and unusual place of Zagreb outskirts, located near the river bank. There you can buy everything, from clothes to cars! It is the best to visit on Sunday mornings. You can also make some great photos of an old telephone or vintage world globe. Nobody leaves without buying something, so prepare your barging skills!
3. GRAFFITI STREET
Branimirova street is located in the center of Zagreb, located between the Train station and a Bus station. It is also known as the Graffiti street. It is a place where Croatian street artists can express themselves and make the city more lively!
4. PIMP MY PUMP
The aim of this project is to preserve the pumps and to motivate the citizens to look around themselves and appreciate their city, the heritage and culture of the old Zagreb. It is a clever and creative way to make our city a better place to live in and sometimes small things like this one can make a change. You can find this funky pumps all over the city, you just have to open your eyes and look around!
5. TECHNICAL MUSEUM
The Technical Museum, established in 1954 in Zagreb, follows in the tradition of the great science and technology museums of the world. The most popular part of the museum is The Demonstration Cabinet of Nikola Tesla. In the Cabinet, experiments are demonstrated using reconstructions of Tesla's most famous inventions, which are based on his original drawings and patent applications.
6. OLDTIMERS
Car Museum Ferdinand Budicki is located near the Bus station in Zagreb. There you can visit old cars, motorcycles and bikes from this Balkan area. Also thru many old photos you can see how vehicles in Croatia has been developed.
7. VINTAGE CLOTHES
Ulicni Ormar is a friendly, courtyard shop with a glamorous-but-cheap ethos, and an extensive woman's collection of dresses, knits, leathers, blouses, bags and shoes and a smaller men's section of winter coats, a few pairs of brogues, the obligatory Wrangler jeans, and some fine shirts, knitted sweaters and leathers. There is a lot of second hand shops in Zagreb where you can find some interesting piece of clothing (Ilica street & Maksimirska street). There are many second hand shops just few meters from our Funk Lounge hostel.
